How do I know if Swedish Edmonds Radia accepts my insurance plan?

Our facility accepts many insurance plans and will bill most insurance companies directly. For a list of accepted insurance plans please click here.

Can I pay my bill online or call in with a credit card number?

Yes, please call us at 888-518-2502 to pay your bill by phone, or click here to pay your bill online.

I don't have medical insurance. Can I set up a payment plan? Do I get discount?

Radia offers a discount to un-insured patients who have their exams at one of our outpatient facilities. We can also work with you to set up a payment plan for your imaging study. Please contact our billing department for more information:

For exams performed at Everett Radia: 888-518-2505
For exams performed at Evergreen Radia: 888-518-2053
For exams performed at Swedish Radia Edmonds: 888-518-2502

Do I need prior authorization from my insurance company for my imaging exam?

Many insurance companies do require pre-authorization for imaging studies. Please contact your insurance company directly to find out if your plan requires pre-authorization for the imaging exam you are having.

My schedule is very tight. Is there anything I can do prior to my appointment to save time?

Making sure you have any information needed prior to your appointment will help get you in and out of our imaging center quickly. Make sure you bring your picture ID and insurance information to your visit. There may also be paperwork that needs to be filled out prior to your visit. Please click here to see a list of downloadable patient forms you can print and fill out at home prior to your visit. (Forms are applicable to patients having an exam performed at a Radia outpatient imaging center only. If you are having your exam at a Radia partner hospital or clinic, you may need to contact that location to see if there are forms you can fill out ahead of time).

Will I need a driver to bring me home after my appointment?

Some imaging procedures may require a driver be available to take you home. When you make your appointment, the imaging scheduler will let you know if a driver is needed.

I work all day and can't take time off. Do Radia's outpatient centers have weekend hours?

Yes. Radia offers some extended hours and weekend appointments. Please contact the site where you would like to schedule an appointment for specific days and times available.

What if I still have questions about my exam after viewing this website?

What type of clothing should I wear?

If possible, please wear loose-fitting, metal-free (no buttons or zippers) clothing to your appointment. If you are having an MRI, you will be provided with a gown or scrubs to wear during your appointment and a secure place to leave your personal items.

Why do I need to arrive 15 (or 30, or 90) minutes before my appointment time?

This gives you time to check-in and meet with the technologist to go over health history and ask any questions you may have prior to your exam. In the case of some CT exams, you may be asked to drink barium contrast prior to your exam which generally takes 90 minutes. Some exams require more preparation and/or paperwork than others. Please see the section on exam descriptions for more detailed inforamation about preparing for a specific exam.

How can I get a copy of my images and/or my report?

Radia will automatically send a copy of your report and images to your physician upon their request. If you need a copy for your own records as well, please contact the Radia center or imaging department of the partner facility you visited for your exam.

Is there a charge to get a copy of my images or report?

Radia does not charge patients for copies of their images or reports at any of our outpatient locations. If you had your images taken in one of our partner hospital locations, you will need to contact them directly for questions about cost.

How long does Radia keep copies of my images and/or reports?

Radia keeps copies of your images and reports as long as mandated by the state and federal laws regarding patient medical records. If you are looking for images or a report from an exam performed more than 6 months ago, the records may be archived and require retrieval. For questions regarding your specific images and/or reports please contact the Radia imaging center or partner hospital where your exam was performed.
